| I am trying to find anyone who served with my father,CPO Thomas Tomlinson, in the 1960's (one of his ships was HMS Battleaxe)- either on board ship, at Portsmouth or in the Pompey Field Gun Crew. I'm sure that he would like to catch up with some of his old naval comrades. Still in touch with Mick Doran and his brother in law, Thomas Dearden (PTI and late of HMS Belfast).
Many thanks

| Hello, on behalf of my mother I am trying to research the circumstances surrounding the loss of her brother Hugh Farrell during WWII. He was an ord. seaman onboard HMS Camito, which was sunk by U97 in the Atlantic on 6 May 1941, while escorting a captured Italian tanker, the Sangro, home. Some survivors were picked up by HMS Orchis. Any information about the circumstances would be most welcome. Thank you. | |

Cordeaux school is 50 years old this year and I am trying to put together a newspaper of memories from the last 50 years. We have a photo of a young man who we believe is Ken Rawlins or Rawlings from 15 October 1969 on what looks to be his passing out! Does anyone know where he is now so that we can add copy to our photo?! Thank you | |

| I am currently preparing my grandfather's memoirs for publication from a large collection of original photographs and hand written notes. After his death in July 2005, the project passed to me.
I would be very interested to hear from anyone who knew Norman Harry Mills (Millsy/The Brummagem Bastard) FX. 79020. He served on the aircraft carriers HMS Argus,Furious and Formidable in the Atlantic, Arctic, Mediterranean convoys and was attached to the 1st Army in North Africa during the Torch Landings. After the Sicily landings, after hospitalisation in the UK with Malaria (He was at HMS Heron from June until Nov 44)and rejoined Formidable in April 1945
He was back on Formidable for the kamikaze attack (4th May 1945)and stayed with her until demob in 1946.
Even if you did not know Norman H. Mills - the book is nearly ready to go out to find a publisher - please contact me if you would like further details.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.

| I would like to hear from any survivors of H.M.S. Hermes and H.M.S. Warspite or anyone who can give me any information. My father, ALFRED WEBB was a Royal Marine, and survived both these sinkings. Sadly, he died on 30th July 2007 at the age of 84 years. He was born in Northwich, Cheshire in 1923. (After leaving the Royal Marines, he made his home in Plymouth and served for 30 years in the Police force.) He has several medals, some with a rose and some with oak leaves. He rarely discussed the War and what happened to him so I would now like to find out more. | |
