| The RNA Canberra Branch Australia traditionally marches each year on ANZAC Day - 25th April. I am seeking advice on the positioning of Standards during this march. We have various opinions from our members. The following Standards are displayed in front of the platoon.
a. RN Ensign
b. Union Flag
c. Canberra RNA Standard
I would like to keep all standards displayed as a sort of flag showing exercise being overseas but what order should they be displayed - ie RN Ensign in front of the Standard and Union Flag, reading from left to right etc
thanks

| My father's brother John Power was locked in one of the gun turrets when the Gloucester went down. Only yesterday did I discover that his name appears on the memorial in Plymouth. Having spent almost 20 years trying to find information on him it all fell into place yesterday. Thank you to everyone involved in memorialising the names of those brave young men, Navy Army and Air Force, who so gallantly gave their lives in the service of their country. These are the men who put Great in Britain. | |

I am trying to contact anyone who went to the "Homes for Little Boys" in Hextable, Swanley, Kent, in order to write its history. This was a Naval Orphanage between 1883 and the 1950s. Many boys came from Portsmouth/Southampton; at 14 many returned to associated schools there as well as Greenwich, Holbrook, Deal etc. Many served in the wars.
The present School is called "Furness" in Hextable. Memoirs are being gathered from former members and a reunion is planned for 2007. Please contact me if you have any information.
